I have been a customer of Payne's for a very long time. I have never had an issue with the service I received and have always been treated with respect. I am a single working mom and know very little about cars. I depend on Dennis, Jason and the crew to take car of my car. My last repair started when I needed new tires. This is the second set I have gotten from them. I am always crunched for time and hate being ripped off, so I called and asked them to order me a set, so I could avoid wasting my time. They wanted to know what type I wanted. (Yeah, I don't know crap about tires either). So I said " The same type you would put on your wife's car." He assured me he understood what I needed. I am not driving a sports car, so I don't need anything special! I just needed a good set are a reasonable price. When the tires were in, they called, we set up an appointment and they gave me a ride home. They called about an hour and a half later and explained that I needed new front break pads. It was going to be about $1000.00 for the tires, installation, alignment, and breaks. That was fine, I understand that breaks need replacing. Could I have had it done cheaper? Probably. Can I spend all my time running around, looking for a deal and maybe getting ripped off...you bet. They ordered me a good set of tires, started the work, saw that I was about to start having an even more expensive problem if I didn't get new break pads, took care of it, in a timely manner and actually saved me money, down the road. Would other mechanics have done the same? Maybe. Some would have just over charged me for the tires, talk me into something I didn't really need or let me drive off with bad breaks. Dennis, Jason and the mechanics at Payne's have earned my trust.
